WAYNE COUNTY

The Information Center
20500 Eureka  Suite 110
Taylor MI  48180
734-282-7171
Services Offered:
The Information Center, Inc. is able to help, with the generous support of our donors, through two avenues.
Adopt-A-Family: Donors are supplied with the first names and the "wish list" of a local family.  The donors purchase gifts for the family and deliver them to TIC offices, where they are then distributed to the families.  This is the most rewarding way to support a family in need of a "hand-up" at the holidays.
Gift Certificates/Cash Donations:  Some donors prefer to purchase gift certificates to help a individual
or family meet a special need, or make a cash donation to The Center, who in turn, purchases gift certificates or gifts for individuals and families. The Center's trained staff thoroughly interviews each client to verify their need for help before distributing any form of assistance.  We also meet regularly
with other agencies to assure that there is no duplication of services.  If you are interested in helping
a local resident OR need assistance, please contact our office for more information.
Assistance is limited, so please contact us early if you require assistance for your family.

Hello everyone. I'm a single parent of 4. (2) boys 17 & 14 (2) girls 12 & 11. My 12 year old daughter and I happen to be cancer survivor's and the last couple of years have been horrible for my family. Although, I've raised my children on the true meeting of Christmas, and don't allow them open gifts on Jesus birthday, I still wish that one day they could be bless with gifts they (need & want) but go without more often throughout the year. I continue to have faith, and express to my children that our year will soon come. My oldest graduates in May 2015 and is more focus on his family struggles than school. Keep us in your prayers. Not a family looking for pity, but a break through.

I am looking for help for a friend of mine. I just found out that her 5 kids will have to have a "no gift" Christmas due to not having funds. I have 4 of my own and times are tight, though I managed to get each of her children a small gift. I would really like to know if there is any program that I could use to assist her. She is a pretty proud person and I would like the gifts to be anonymous so she can just feel blessed and not pitied. . .
Her children are 13, 5 (girls) and 10, 4, 2 (boys).
